I don't understand. They said you shouldn't pay for ead but to pay for i485 right? So how much did you pay in total for fee? You did not send fee waiver forms together with the ead and i485 I suppose? Its a little confusing

1070$ thats it 985 for i495 and 85 for biometrics,i paid nothing else I485 and biometrics included.AGAIN!! I did not request fee waiver i did not know

There is no fee for the I-360 if you're applying for relief under VAWA. The fee is for the I-485 as anajnic said. You can request a fee waiver for both the I-485 & I-765 by filling out an I-912 with a cover letter detailing your income & expenses. Sandranj posted samples in the VAWA Part III thread.

Hope this helps.

Thank you yea this really helped. I went back last week and read what sandra wrote in vawa 3, got all the forms but my lawyer lead me astray again telling me I don't qualify for fee waiver unless I was living in a shelter. She believes I have a money tree in my balcony(lucky her). Anyway I won't be needing her lame advice any further. I just never knew about the cover letter so thank you. I will start drafting the cover letter. I don't even have any source of income so that will be pretty simple to write.

You will be RFE'd for them.

I sent i485 and i785 after i360 approval , but I forgot to sent my birth certificate and police clearance

but I have sent them with i360 application

do you think I will get Ref ? any suggestion ?

So we are supposed to send another police clearance with birth certificate with the i485 forms? I thought sandra said "evidence of Good faith marriage" she didn't mention this two though. I really need to know ALL docs to attach cos I don't want any RFE. Can anyone who's gone pass AOS give me a list of the complete documents they submitted with their forms pls to avoid rfe? Thanks

If you have submitted all necessary forms with the I-360 and you are filing separately for I-485 after approved I-360, you shouldn't have to send the same documents you had already sent along with the I-360. You send along with the I-485 the Notice of Action that your I-360 was approved. Then they should join the two files (I-360 with all the documents you submitted and the I-485 with whatever documents you submitted). There should be no need to send the same documents after the I-360 has been already approved. The way I understood it, when you send the I-485 to Vermont, they match the two files together and send them to the NBC for interview preparation. If anything is missing then, they should send an RFE from the NBC. But if your I-360 application was complete (which it was if it was approved), then you shouldn't have to send documents such as birth certificates and police clearances again. (Unless they request them - which they shouldn't - because they already have this.)

I have never heard of this and stop devising your own understanding and workings as to how things operate. Sandranj already told Bestgirl what docs are needed. those facts won't change. You never know if and when you will get and RFE despite sending docs. All the docs Sandra told you to send , send..

Anajnic, as far as I can see on the forum, Sandranj has not yet said anything in response to bestgirlever's question about sending another police clearance. This is a very specific question, which, as far as I can see, is not yet answered on this forum, and definitely not since the question was asked. People need specific answers to specific questions.

Getting police clearances is not always an easy and straightforward manner, especially if you have lived in separate places that are far from one another. So people want to avoid getting a second police clearance - if it is not necessary. I have read the instructions for the I-485 form pretty carefully. Have you read these instructions, Anajnic? Do you know what the instructions on form I-485 say about submitting police clearances?

Hi Piper2013 ,My response was not necessarily directed at police clearances. When I got an Rfe for clearances it was for I360, both my applications were filed the same time. My response was mainly to the fact that you are saying they should take the paperwork from the i360 since its approved and merge it with i485.To my knowledge since she is now filing i485 every piece of document she sent for i360, she needs to send for i485 ( again,i don't know about police clearance,i only did one but filed my docs together). Asking me if I read the instructions and all that nonsense is ridiculous because clearly I did something right because i was not Rfe'd .I don't have to send anything,I take my docs with me.Nevertheless, Bestgirlever, I don't know about Police clearances (i really doubt that since your biometrics was done or will be done anyway) but please go over the list and get those things together. You wil be fine.
