bestgirlever most adjudicators don't ask about bonafide marriage,just ask original documents and that is it, done, but some of them may ask questions for 1hour or more. To prove bonafide marriage take with everything you have in your name and in his name( showing commingling finances)and some pictures as well.

That's for the interview right? I meant do I have to attach anything to the forms I'm sending in for i765 and i485. U mentioned the following. I765, i485, I 864w, G325A, i693, i912 and GG1145 right? And just mail it in. Or do I have to attach any documents. Thank you so much

Hi everyone

I have asked this question before, but I would like to ask you guys again.

So my VAWA case has been approved in July 2013 and have been waiting for the interview till now. (No transfer yet)

It's taking a long time like 5 months. Should I go to a local office and ask them since I do not have a lawyer?

I actually have a daughter whose name on my VAWA approval notice. Taking a long time because I have a daughter?

I just wonder since I have seen people who go to the interview in a few months after VAWA case get approved.

*I have applied I-485 with my daughter 2 years ago.

Hi, I believe someone has already asked a similar question and sandranj asked her to get an infopass and inquire about it. And the people's timeline differs some waits for 5-8months here and still waiting(I read) and some were less.having a daughter isn't a reason for delays, IMO you should always scroll back in this forum and read what other people asked before and what sandranj replied ok-?. It will help as its sometimes related to what you wanted to ask. Good luck

I followed your instructions regarding following up for unexpected delay of I-485 and sent emails to hotlinefollowupi360.vsc@dhs.gov, filled forms for ombudsman ,called immigration, sent to my congress man but till now my I-485 is still sleeping in NBC for more than 70 days.

What do you advise me to do?

Hold up Fancy1, Sandranj would not, has never instructed you to do anything. she simply advised you on certain options. Its ONLY 70 days!!!! are you serios?.Im telling you, there are 2 people on this forum that remind me of vawavictim/pure...

GNA23 set up an appointment with infopass and go there to inquire about your case, the delay is not because of your daughter.

Fancy1 my advice to all aliens is to do what you already did, but keep in mind that the hotline email will take at least 10 days to answer your question, the ombudsman may take 20/30 to answer, your congressman will not get any answer from USCIS before 20/30days of their inquiry.

Once your case is with NBC you should file an e-request and wait at least 10 days for their answer, then after everything done they did not adjudicate your case then go to infopass to inquire about your case.

Hi, all I found the following link helpful, especially pages 8-10. This was published by the USCIS, so it must be legitimate information.

From what I understand sandranj is saying that: after 45 days at the NBC, it is OK to file an e-request, then wait 10 days. If nothing comes of it, set up an infopass with the local office. I am currently at 35 days and plan on filing an e-request in 10 days if I still don't have any notice of transfer/interview at the local office.

While they may delay cases at the NBC, if taking these steps can speed up the process, I don't see why just sit and wait. It probably can't hurt to inquire and try to get more info and, hopefully, to speed the process up if this is an option.

Finally got a response from immigration in regards to my case, they sent a request for more evidence.

I don't really feel confident in my current lawyer, I mean he is a nice guy but he has no experience with vawa's and quite frankly the affidavit he was kind of weak. I need a new lawyer for at least the vawa response. Sandra help?

Hey sandra nj or anybody whi can answer.l filed my i485 and WP nd of august based on approved vawa..my WP was approved oct 28.so far my i485 is still in vermont intake center.its been more than three months now.should l inquire about my case through the hotline or should l just wait?

i have been waiting 6 months already since the i360 approved. i went to infopass yesterday, the officer said that i have an interview pending since

Oct1st in local. the files are still on the supervior's desk. May get an interview notice anytime, maybe it will be coming in the next week or the new year

or the next year Jananary, however she couldn't give me the exactly time. but she said she will let them know my case is delay. So guys, we all are on

the waiting line now.
