soo I need wait too some months more because my vawa was approved on 6/10/13 and my I-485 on 8/14/13 and transfer to my local office on 10/30/13..I really need my gree card because one of my gradmother will be 100 year old on 2/18/14 and I really want be there I need my green card for travel to my country.This is my most big wish be there this day.

Hello everybody,

I am about to file VAWA petition and trying to get some info.

It looks like some people get approved in just a couple of months while some others wait years. What is the reason for such a difference? What is current processing time? I mean "real" processing time.

According to USCIS website it's about 5 month which is realy hard to believe.

Well welcome to the waiting Zone loll.. It was transferred August 7th. Inetrview in January. 5months wait.

Hey guys, my lawyer just returned my call says that uscis sent her a letter in response to my e-request stating that my case was still pending decision(like I didn't already know)so anyway she still feels its not beyond processing time thus no need to call them yet.I'm just pissed that I did the e-request with my physical address and email yet they never bothered to tell me they responded yet sent the reply to her. I can't wait to drop her so I can get a direct contact..I believe they have not sent a renewed PF cos they want to make a final decision on the case.I DON'T need another PF to be honest.I'm tired of it.I can't wait for this horrible phase to be over. Besgirlever your attorney should email them,email vawa unit,if you want I can draft something for you and email them,let me know.Panama guy was waiting 19 months I helped him with a letter less than 10days letter they adjudicated his case.

Thank you sandranj. Yes please kindly send me the draft. She said she doesn't want to contact but we should just wait until whenever uscis decides to act.but I'm not buying it or going with her flow anymore.so if she doesn't want to email vawa can I send you modified draft and they will respond? godsgreat23 Call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier 2, as soon you call just say i have a Vawa case i need t speak to a tier 2, then they will transfer, because the first person who answer the phone cannot give information .I would set up an appointment and go to infopass to inquire as well.

I did the same way as Anajnic did and you mentioned,the lady over the phone said she was an immigration officer and in no case they give out information for aos case based on vawa.The only way is to have an attorney call and send a written letter.My Medical is more than 2 years old ,I am thinking of getting a new one and send them proactively without being asked for it.Please guide me.My lawyer said don`t send anything unless they ask for it couple of months ago when I asked him.
