Hi sugar sugar Faithkeeper<< Always loved the name. As of yet i have heard nothing. No news is good news as the saying goes. I don't really think too much of it because I know everything in Gods time and as a result is quite patient. My life is moving regardless.

fancy1 you should file a new I-485, if your I-485 was administratively closed you could reopen, but it was denied then you have to file a new one, if you can't afford to pay the USCIS fees then file f orm I-912. You need to submit copy if your divorce decree, but to attend the e interview you need to show the original divorce decree or a certified copy ok,just ask in the Court a certified copy. Are you in removal proceedings?

I have reading your posts and admire your passion and your help for all people especially domestic violence victims .I got my VAWA approved(abused bu US citizen) and I have a question regarding one of your posts. You mentioned original divorce decree for AOS.I had only copy from the judge in the court that divorce took place from my abuser spouse. Is this enough or divorce decree means something else?

After VAWA approval can I reopen my old I-485(with my abuse) which was denied? They sent me denial without giving me any reason and without any opportunity to appeal this decision which I think it is not fair.

So that members can help you better:

Was earlier I-485 was based on marriage?

What was the reason for denial?

After that what you did, Appeal or refile OR VAWA?

Thank you Vawa111 and bestgirlever, I sent a new application with correct category and supporting documents, this is for ead, they received my mail on Friday so I am assuming that when they went to my file they approved it because today is three months that I had applied for the first time, on the 20th would have been 3 months from receipt date. I am very happy!
