Sandranj,I cannot thank you enough for your informative and at the same time your easy language you uses to explain difficult legal terms..You are really professional and angel at the same time.

I believe my ex-lawyer misinformed me of a lot of things and now I am in great trouble.Just to confirm that now after VAWA approval and having new EAD(based on VAWA approval) I am not eligible to any public benefits ?does this also apply to obamacare because my income is much less than poverty line? Can any agency help me in obtaining these benefits?

If no benefits what so ever, can I have these public benefits who I was suppose to receive when i had only prima facia compensated to me now in order to pay my debts accumulated through these 2 years?

Thanks.

pure once you are waiting your AOS interview do not try to get public benefits. You should not use MEDICAID,FOOD STAMPS and CASH ASSISTANCE.You can use these things when waiting Vawa adjudication.Once vawa is approved you should not use anymore, otherwise they may decide you are likely to become a public charge and deny your green card.

Sandranj, that was so helpful.Thank you for highlighting this.My old interview with my ex was suppose to take place November 2011 but before the interview she made domestic violence against me and i called the police and court and she did not attend the interview to make my life more harder. So do you think I deserve earlier interview than others especially in the new green card application they did not collect fees saying that it was previously collected? One of the members in this forum had advised me to send email to congress man of the city or use the help of some free legal service charity organizations so they can contact immigration to get interview quicker.can this help?If not, what can help?

Pure your case is not different than others with vawa approved . Why do you expect your case should have special consideration? Your case will be adjudicated the same way of those that submitted fee waiver, the same way of those were battered or suffered mental cruelty. With all respect your case is not better than any case here.If you want to be part of this great Nation then you thave to learn to follow the law, what you you want doesn't matter. THere is no difference how immigration will treat your case and others.A special advise for you PLEASE develop skills to see others like you see yourself.

Guys I just watched the local news now &an woman who suffered domestic violence abuse from her husband, she got a restraining order against him but she decided to go back this week with her daughter and her brother to get her stuffs from the house &unfortunately her abusive husband shot and killed her, her daughter &her brother and also killed himself.know you all know this already but I'm so scared I just felt I should remind us again, if you decide to go back &get anything GO WITH POLICE on standby.I went with the police myself &cos I had a lot of things I couldn't get everything I just got a few important things &ive decided to abandon the rest and start all over.if I'm alive I can work hard get double of what I have.these get so angry that you left them &they become more violent and aggressive and willing to kill than they already were(if can't have her then nobody will). So STAY AWAY from your abusive exes please. Stay safe &God bless us all

citragirl if you are renewing your EAD then there is no fee to renew the EAD, then you don't have to submit a fee waiver. Send copy of your previous EAD, you have to send to Vermont, and yes put "vawa Unit"
