sorry previous post needs needs correction

My time line is as follows:

07/2011 applied to green card through my ex

09/2011 received my EAD

10/2011 my ex abused me and I left home

11/2011 scheduled interview for green card but i postpone that appointment and got new appointment

02/2012 applied for vawa

02/2012 I-485 cancelled bec my ex revoked it

07/2013 VAWA accepted

08/2013 applied for GC and EAD

09/2013 did biometric and sent medical

10/2013 received EAD

10/2013 file moved from Vermont to Chicago

1-So when will be the expected interview in Chicago office ?

2-How can I have GC”resident from” date of 07/2011 rather than 2013 bec I have old GC application in 2011

3-When I can apply for naturalization? Since “resident from” date on GC or from date VAWA approved or from date of issue of GC?

whenever they will schedule it. See processing times for them

I doubt you can.

You will be able to do so in 3 years from the date on your greencard.

Or you can sign up for army and get a citizenship after bootcamp (though you will have to be in army for 7 years)

I cannot thank u enough for ur help...

I am dying and suffering here because most of the jobs i apply for s and even my license need me to be a green card holder

what I can do from my side to speed up the GC process?should i hire a lawyer?should i send them a letter saying that my I-130 priority date on my old application should be transferred to my new I-360?should i call them?

You were not a resident in 2011. Your green card application was never approved. You were never approved for a green card in 2011 therefore you were not a resident. You will not be a resident until you receive your green card. It will have a date on it that says "resident since".

thank u for ur reply....i belive it is not fair bec if my ex came with me on 11/2011 i would be resident since 11/2011.She abused me and immigration proved that so how I make them consider this bec it is now considered punishment for me and reward for my abused ex.Can we do any thing regarding this?what I can do from my side to speed up the GC process?should i hire a lawyer?should i send them a letter saying that my I-130 priority date on my old application should be transferred to my new I-360?should i call them?

Anajic.you absolutely said the right thing.

I was just about to write the same thing. I don't know why vawavictim is asking the same question over &over again even after she has been answered, she is still posting in other threads. NOT COOL.I might have to unsubscribe to this thread because of her cos I'm tired of getting email alerts about the same person posting the same long questions over and over again. Sorry if I offended anyone but that's just how it is.

You said you postponed your interview in 2011 now you say he/she went with you... Get your story straight... How can you not get a job with ead that doesn't make sense anyway... If you had multiple questions that require different information you would be helping yourself and others by asking but you are borderline annoying with the same stubborn question, you want somebody to give you wrong info to be happy? Then go somewhere else because Sandra invests her valuable time to help us and correct misinformation just drop it please. Take a chill pill.

vawavictim please refrain from asking the same question over and over.Your interview may take 2 to 6months!. You just have to wait like everyone else is doing here, there is anything you can do to expedite your case. You will receive your green card considering your AOS approval date.

if your wife is a green card holder you will be able to transfer the priority date of the Form I-130 to the Form I-360. This will just result in an earlier priority date and a shorter waiting time for getting your green card, but it does not mean your GC will be issued with the date your ex wife filed I-130, did you get it?

For those of you who may find this info useful, after 3 months and 10 days since my I360 got approved I received an email saying that my case was trasferred to the local office. More waiting now. Trying to stay strong. Best of luck, everyone!

Daffodils, is it 3months and 10days waiting for i485? Have you received your ead yet?

I filed I360 and I485 in Sept 2012. I360 got approved in July 2013, and just now they trasferred my I485 to my local office.

Yes, I had EAD this whole time.

Hope this helps!
