Miangela I felt sick to my stomach reading that the mediator was blaming you (the victim) for the abuse suffered, abuse is a conscious choice, no matter what, domestic violence or mental abuse is NOT the victim's fault,period. If in Court I hear such stupid thing I will ask to remove the mediator right away.

In your case you had your case approved without psychological evaluation because you had police report, court transcripts and recommendation ordering to attend anger management classes, but people without police report and/or restraining order it's advised to get psychological evaluation and attend therapy.

self affidavit needs to be hand written or write on computer & take print out & sign it?

I wrote mines with my hand signed it. It was not even notarized. I re-read mines the other and cried , reading your life touches you just like it will touch the adjudicator

Miangela, just to be clear I wasn't judging I simply don't trust when somebody ask in certain way, not too long ago somebody came with the same type of questions and ended up telling he wanted to know the process, he said the victim was this and that and Sandra jumped in to tell him a few truths, HE dared to blame his victim as well... Sandra is right, abusers are scum. Nobody is guilty of suffering abuse specially from the person who made, among others, the vow to love you and protect you. And that hasn't been the only occasion something like that happens. It gives me a bad vibe if somebody wants to make it look too perfect, specially since this persons application was denied, sure I probably jumped into conclusions but I have known of fraudulent marriages and even tho fraud will always exist it makes me sick because others like me do believe in marriage and family. Also true victims are in serious need to have the same level of opportunities to improve our life for our children, specially when the other part is constantly threatening to have us deported. Even scarier when for example in my case, the abuser has bff

's working for BP and Customs...

Anyway. Wish you all waiting for approvals that they arrive promptly and those like me waiting on eads patience, and those like you miangela that are only waiting on aos appointment best of luck that your cases are worded on soon.

Twice they sent me two, one that they sent on their own and one I requested... You never know and yours might be on the mail already

I took so long to finish my affidavit because thinking about it would drain my energy, I would cry, my heart would hurt again reliving in my mind what I went thru. My ex had the nerve to request a writ of attachment when my son was 5 months and I was still breastfeeding him, my ex husband took my baby from me for eleven days, the worst days of my life, I was not allawed to call, see my son, or get close to his house or job site... All because he lied to the court to obtain such orders. Any way, there was more than that but for mothers our kids are number one priority. Fortunately, all that is in the past now.

On September 26, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I360 PETITION FOR AMERASIAN, WIDOWER, OR SPECIAL IMMIGRANT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I am just starring at the screen frozen, i am so happy!
