Just because you didn't know about it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. There was a fair amount of scrutiny about McCain not being born on US soil. Nowhere near the amount of scrutiny placed on Obama's bc, but it was there.

One way to look at it, is that the Republican'ts did not even bother to vet candidate Obama properly. They should not be trusted to lead for they lack initiative.

If they were doing their jobs, all this birther crepe would have surfaced before the elections and they would not look like the sore losers they are. Apparently the lights were on but no one was home in 2008...

My point was that they handled it in a manner that was fit for someone running for office. You didn't see Donald Trump on TV calling out Mccain or Romney for that matter. No PI's were sent to Panamal to check out his school records or history. The question was asked, an investigation done, and case closed. Which is how it should have been done for Obama, the man is in his second term and folks refuse to believe he's an American.

Maybe it does. Who cares? I'm sorry, you've had a black guy with no experience elected president TWICE. It's getting old hearing about how he's being treated badly because of his race. I would say his race was more of an asset than a liability. People could say "Look at me! I'm not racist. I voted for Obama" Not only that, he got 96% of the black vote in 2008 and 93% in 2012. Some people might say it's racist to vote for someone simply because of their race.

Look at the Obama video a few posts back. Even Obama thinks it's funny. This whole birth certificate thing has pretty much turned into a punch line for jokes. People that think he was born in Africa have lost it. People think that Obama is somehow being singled out for unfair criticism about his birth certificate because he's black are silly as well.

I have news for everyone. Obama is being singled out for unfair criticism because HE WAS ELECTED PRESIDENT. IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF THEM.
