Hello Vjers, I need help from anybody who has had experience with the RFE. I received RFE for incomplete 1-864 and I sent it back last friday. I tracked it on USPS and it was received yesterday(10/06/2013. My question is how long does it take before I get a response back from the NBC.

AOS JOURNEY

19-04-2013...................AOS package sent.

24-04-2013................... NOA1 received by text and email.

29-04-2013................... NOA1 received by post for AOS and EAD

03-05-2013...................Received biometric appointment notice.

13-05-2013...................Received RFE for AOS by text

20-05-2013................... Biometric done

09-06-2013.................... Sent RFE response

12-06-2013..................... Case updated to Response review

06-07-2013..................... EAD Approved

13-07-2013...................... EAD received in Mail

May I know what was missing in your i-864?

I didnt fill the form properly amd my tax return was missing.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I don't think you will get any response from them, if everything is okay they will update your case online and continue with the process. At least I'm assuming so:)

04/26/2013 - Mailed forms I-130, I-765 and I-485, received by USCIS 04/29/2013

05/06/2013 - Received NOA's for all three forms; all dated 05/01/2013

05/10/2013 - Received Biometrics appointment for 06/03/2013

05/22/2013 - Biometrics taken walk-in

05/21/2013 - Request for evidence (supporting docs for I-864, obtained a joint sponsor)

06/12/2013 - Response to request for evidence received

06/19/2013 - I-485 Case Status updated to Testing & Interview

06/26/2013 - Received an e-mail AOS interview date is 07/29/2013

06/28/2013 - NOA for interview date and time received in mail

07/29/2013 - ***I-485 INTERVIEW*** @12:15

08/05/2013- EAD Received

Thanks for your response. Two days ago , my case was updated to "request for evidence response review", what does this mean? Does it mean they got my document or need some more documents?

it exactly says the same thing in my case status, because next step for us is Testing and Interview.

Options are: Acceptance, Initial Review, Request for Evidence, Request for Evidence Response Review, Testing and Interview, Decision, Post Decision Activity, Card/Document Production.

I would think that the status should change to "testing & interview" once they reviewed the documents that you submitted and everything is ok. I'm just not sure what happens if your case stays with the NBC and does not get forwarded to your local office for an interview - maybe then it will go straight to approval after about 9 months...

How long does the RFE review response take before the status is updated?
