I am a USC who has filed a CR1 petition for my wife in Colombia, on May -13-2013 my case was completed at NVC, a couple of days later call NVC for an Interview to be told that in May they schedule June interviews and that June is all booked that I had to wait and the earliest I can interview is July which is scheduled in June. I waited for June and have called NVC and DOS various time and all they can say is that no interview date has been scheduled and all depended on the capacity and availability of the consulate in Bogota, It is already june 11 and I am frustrated on waiting a long time and the easiest step is not so easy if they make you wait so long, is anyone else in the same situation as me, any feedback and advice is greatly apreciated. Thank You

I have added you to the case Complete thread. I looked at June thread and we had one person for Columbia. Your embassy is very busy and backlogged all you can do is wait. But come on over to thread with others like you waiting.

Our interview was three months from NVC completion.. When I went back through the archives there was almost always a two or three month delay based on the day of the month... If you were on the 15th or before then figure two months out, 16th or after then figure three months.. The boundary dates are not exact (not always the 15th) it is just a rough average in the archive... So if you are close then it could go either way ..

We had an NVC date of August 16, interview date November 9th. I remember missing the scheduling in September and having to wait for October to roll around not knowing if I would be scheduled yet again... That was the worst part of the entire process.

If you call NVC they can tell you if you are scheduled for the next month being worked on but after a certain date (I think the second friday of the month) they will not schedule any more CR-1s until the next month.

From the dates you gave I would expect either a July interview that was scheduled in early June or an August interview scheduled in July... If you have heard nothing by the end of this week (or they say that July is full) it will be next month before you are scheduled... All this is assuming things are still as they were whenI went through... If not someone please correct me.

Also, don't assume because you barely missed out on one month that you will get an early date the next month. The selection of the day within the month seems to be random.

thanks, in july it will be one year since I filed. also I havent seen any members in this site post a july date so that makes me wonder if they even hold july interviews, also I read somewhere that they take so few cr1 to make room for the non-immigrant visa, which most get denied and they bank on all the people out to get b2 who pay there 165 dollars for less than a minute to get denied .
