I just realized how similar our timelines are. Yeh im hoping for noa2 by the end of this month.

Plus my wife is 5 months pregnant!

My case is in NYC field office as well. The Tier2 agent told my wife that its being processed, rather than pending(?) so hopefully that means its being worked on. It's taking so long though!

i'm also at the nyc local office i filed 11/19/12 and got my noa1 11/23/12 i have 7 months and 2 weeks waiting and have yet to get my noa2 i will be going on my infopass appt. today even though i am not expecting anything mayor because they have sent me a reply to my latest service request mind you i have sent 3 and have only gotten a reply to 1 and i also heard they are extremely rude

i would hammer them as to why you are being penalized for living your area.. ask for the 130 unit supervisor to enlighten you on the process as to when you can expect your file to be reviewed. ask him.. if he would find it acceptable if he/she were in your shoes knowing that other offices are approving in a much more timely manner. can you file be transferred to a more efficient office? if he/she gives you any bs go report them on the uscis site

So i went for my infopass on the 11th at the federal plaza.

I got there a little after 7am. I waited a few minutes before i was

called up to the counter. The lady who helped me was very

polite.

She said the only information she can see on her computer is

that my case was recieved at the nyc local office on the 25th of

March and that till now my case has not been assigned to a

case worker. Also, that they only woirk on 1-130 cases twice a

week. Hence, the delay. Plus she said i wont believe how many

cases they have waiting to be worked on. I asked if she can give

me an estimate of how much longer it might take. She said she

really cant say.

So that was about it. Didnt get much info from there..but hey at

least now im certain that my case is in nyc local office.

Nice to know some progress on your status as Im also pissed when I knew that my case was transeferrred here to NY Office.

The current processing time now is "OCTOBER 3, 2012" -- meaning if my PD was April 2013, it will take 5-6 more months.

But Im still hoping for a miracle here. 3 years had been a lot of waiting already..

Their timelines are completely unrelated to yours.

I mean, I suppose you could say the NY office was given more paperwork so your interview might have been slightly slowed down, but that's how it was with EVERY local office, so there's nothing really special there.

My point is just that you are not applying for the same thing.

Hey I'm from NY.... I just sent my I-130 and got the NOA1 on 07-17-13 and the file was sent to NBC so I'm assuming it might get transferred to the NYC local office.... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE :-/

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the statements are true -- the NYC office is incredibly slow. I seen some I130 Filers in March of this year in other offices, get approved WAY faster than the NY Office. Thankfully i didnt wait 7 months or so, it was only a 4 month wait. hopefully things work out for you!
