Ok...so am I supposed to put my husbands full address? for example 32 Road H Close Block 4 Flat 8 Lekki Lagos Nigeria.....I mean...cant 32 Road Lekki Lagos Nigeria be enough?

Also the names of the city he was born in has 3 names but his birth cert has only 2 of the names listed but has province. When I map it....the whole section is called Ndiolumbe...I guess all the other names are to distinguish the areas in detail so wondering if I have to list the whoooole names lol can anyone answer this?

thanks ahead of time

I agree.

Use additioanl page if necessary.

If it were me I would, and I in fact did, put "see attached page" and then went crazy with the nonsensical Nigerian address scheme in full detail.

This is less for USCIS but more for the post in case they need to do site visit.

Oh ok thanks to you both. So do I list the whole part of city including the ngwa south local government area etc? Is just the 3 names of city enough?

You have to list the full address. They do cross check and they do sometimes do field investigations. So it can mess you up omitting anything.

you should list the place of birth just like the birth certificate states.

I used the expandable forms and still had to have an attachment. It's no wahala. ;)

Nigerian address can almost be walking directions to the door, XXX happy place, off easy street near big highway and yes you need all of it. When it comes to the more remote areas you have state, then city and/or local government area and then villiage. As far as name changes for cities you explain on your attachment sheet, X was born in XXXXX which was changed about 1980 to be called YYYYY which was changed again in 2005 to be ZZZ which is it's curent official name

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

IMHO, list the address like a 9ja would you know like your partner does. Since you are using extra apge you can now go full detail.

It's starnge to us but they actually have a system that works for them.

An example

#3, Isale Ijebu Road

Off Ido Gate Bypass

Oluwole Compound

Ilaro, Ondo State

Nigeria

Unlike us and we're done in two lines mostly rofl.gif

123, Main Street

Lake Woobegone, WI 00221
