Freaking out on NOA's: No receipt for I 485

Hi Guys,

I received 4 receipts for the AOS package I sent out on last wednesday. The receipts are for

1. I 130

2. I 765

3. I 131

4. Biometrics fee.

In the last receipts when I plug in the receipt no. on USCIS website specifically says...' your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case'

There is not mention of I 485 or no separate receipt!!

Should I have received a receipt for I 485? What is the normal procedure??

The bank account shows check cashed for $ 1040 ----- includes I 485 and biometrics.

Please help!!! :(((

The biometrics fee doesn't generate a case number so I am thinking #4 on your list is actually the I-485.

Harpa,

But the USCIS website sepcifically says that your fingerprint fee was accepted. And nothing at all about 485. Am I supposed to receive a separate receipt no for 485? Can they accept 765 and 131 and biometrics fee without acceptiong 485?

Are you sure its 1040? because the fee is $1070 for the 485 and biometrics.

Double check the last paper that it is biometrics - it would have an appointment time and date and location on it for you to have biometrics taken.

The website means nothing. Look at the actual paper in your hand.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

The website sucks, and it's not really connected to your real case status. Don't rely on it. Tell us what your papers say.

Sorry, the amount is $1070, the check cashed from bank. I haven't received a paper notice yet. I just got the email with 4 receipt no as mentioned in original post.

I will post as soon as I get the paper notice. Keeping fingers crossed. Thanks for quick reply guys. I was/ am really freaking out after seeing the website.

That same thing happened to me. I received 3 case numbers, and when I tried check them online one of them says something about my fingerprint fee too. I received my hardcopies yesterday and the fingerprint case number says adjustment of status or permanent residence. I guess is all good.

Best to always wait for the hardcopies before freaking out.

The USCIS site is notoriously unreliable. When we were in the AOS phase, the USCIS case status would flip so many times, it was like watching pancakes being cooked....lol..laughing.gif

Good luck.

We got three over text message, and website as notifications, once was for I-130, the other one was for I-485, and the third one was for I-765...So, I am not sure why they have a separate biometrics fee one for you...we did not get a separate one for that, it was along the line with the I-765

Again, biometrics does not generate an individual case number, but is attached to those applications which require it (typically I-131, I-485, and I-765).

Your biometrics case number is probably your I-485 case number.

The biometric is 1485. have you received your NOA hard copies. The hard copy will specifically say i485. The email notification number just says i485 as biometric fee

there is nothing to worry

did you submit 2 checks ? 3 checks?

what was the amount on each check?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
