The police should probably not tell the race of the shooter. Now people are going to use it as data.

Only if you're not white. If the shooter was white, they put a big Mental Issues stamp behind the name. By most accounts, white people are the most peaceful, loving, honest people on the planet.

Look at the Boston Bombing, the second they found out they were white AND Muslim, what did they harp on? The religion. This way the gun control problem is shifted onto minorities.

Not that bad if you look at the time and places they were shot. I've lived there for over 20 years, and I am well aware nothing good happens after 2300. If you have bad neighborhoods, your chances of being shot increase.

I was being sarcastic:) That was a shot to those folks that say blacks and hispanics are prone to violence more that anyone else. But when a white person goes on a shooting spree, they say, not us, he's just crazy. But bet bottom dollar when they find the guy with the AK-47 who shot these folks, mental health won't even be mentioned.

I'd be curious to know how many of the firearms involved were legally owned. If the guns were stolen, or not owned legally, chances are no amount of gun control laws would have prevented the shootings.

Could be possible all were legally owned. My dad still lives there and he owns a gun, saw the papers myself. I almost borrowed it when I went to that soccer game.

He makes a valid point though.. Why can states like Vermont and mine be "flooded" with guns and we have have murder rates in line with Canada and western Europe while these locations are doing their own version of the purge on a nightly basis?

Poverty? Heavy population density of a diverse population? I really don't know, but its not just the guns.
