You can do all that where I live except for the last one. Many neighborhoods have their own park.

We own a flat in a "Stalin Bunker" in Donetsk. There are thousands of these in the city. They were built by Stalin following the Great Patriotic War when everything was broken. When Donetsk (then called "Stalino") was a pile of rubble. They are all the same. There are four porches in every building, each serves 20 flats. 80 families per building, 5 floors (that is as high as the city water pressure will go without needing addl. pumps) 4 of these buildings make a "house" (dom) In the middle of each cluster of 4 buildings is a playground.

In the Soviet Union, NO ONE was homeless or unemployed. If you needed a house, you got one. Free. If there were not enough, they built more. Free. Everyone got a house and a job. You did not get to choose your house or your job, why would you need to be troubled with such a thing? You did not choose what city you lived in, nor even could you.

The people loved it. Oh yes.

People had freedom of speech, it was in the constitution, oh yes, it is true. Of course, the government had to be careful not to let people say things that could harm the good of all the people and to make sure of that they had to listen to phone calls, read people's mail, plant "commisars" in their workplace and interview their children at school about what Momma and Papa said at home...in case it was something harmful to the country. This was to protect their freedom.

The government stopped many, many attacks on freedom this way. Terrorism was not a problem at all.
