Good Day everyone.

I am very confused, and dont know where to post this query.

I was just interviewed yesterday for my immigrant Visa and evrything went well, including the finger printing, only to be tlod by the Consul that I need to produce Justice Record Check (Police clearance in Vietnam),since I work in Vietnam for 2 years way back 2006~2008.

I tried to explain to Consul, that it is very difficult to get such official documents in Vietnam, and besides I worked in Ho Chi Minn City, and not Hanoi. However The consul just tell me to follow procedure, that I need to go to hanoi, and since I dont want to argue,I just say Yes Sir.

When I check the procedure to obtain such documents,it says that I need to go personally to Hanoi and appear in Ministry of Justice and produce among others Permanent Residence Status when I live in Vietnam.

The thing is,I already lost all my resident status documents and when I inquire Thru theri website,I dont have answer.

Does anybody have the same experience?

Please advice. There is no problem going back to Hanoi,b
