FORM I -131 travel document for K-1 visa holders AOS

hey im trying to send the package for AOS asap. i got stuck at the I 131 travel document form...

in part 3 - processing information, they r asking about the date of intended journey and its lenght... what if i dont dont know yet where and when and how long am i gonna stay there for ??

WHAT SHOULD I WRITE... or just leave it empty??!!

next question is part 7

they want us to explein on a separate sheet of paper how we qualify to get this document...

do i need to do it.... as i said before i dont know what my plans are gonna be..

anyone?? please help...

what did u do?? anyone had the same problem?

For date and length of the trip, write Unknown.

Part 7, you don't need to explain on a separate sheet of paper. In the form instructions, there's a "or" somewhere that basically means you don't need to, in your case.

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

Page 4, Part C. Advance Parole Document, point 1. It basically says you much attach an explanation sheet OR if you applied for AOS, to send a copy of the AOS receipt notice.

I guess you are going to mail your I-131 with your AOS application, like many people AOSing from K-1, so no notice needed.

Hi all,

How fast do you get a response/approval for the I-131?

I had submitted my documents and was sent a receipt on December 22nd.

I still had no news until now and I need to travel outside of the country on April 8th. I am seriously feeling anxious about it now.
