part 1 on the I 485 form asks for A# and I-94#. Have those filled out but on part 3 it asks for nonimmigrant #. On a sample form i have in front of me they have it as a 8 digit number. The A # is 8 digits but I know it's not that. On the I-94 form I see an 8 digit OMB #front top R/H corner. Is that it or do they want the 11 digit I-94 # which they already asked for on part 1.

also on part 3 they asked for date visa was issued. Is that the date of the Interview, The date she recieved the visa in the mail? I know it's not the date she arrived here in the USA. Having a hard time remembering the exact date it was issued. Can't seem to find that date on any paperwork.

last but not least on form I 864 the very begining part one I have 6 choices a,b,c,d,e or f. I think the correct choice is D. Hoping someone can confirm I checked the correct one. I am filling out the form for adj of status for my wife who is here on a k-1 visa. I am not using a co sponsor just me applying for her. Think I have been looking at these forms to long today and I am making this to complicated. Thanks for your help

Look at the visa that is printed in the passport. There it also will tell you the date when it was issued.

Ok, the nonimmigrant # you're talking about is the nonimmigrant VISA number, which can be found on your passport, in the visa stamped there, 8 digits, in red, bottom right corner.

The date visa was issued is also on your visa stamped in the passport, where it reads "issue date".

For your last question, about the Affidavit, the correct response would be A, in the case you're the husband, who's going to be supporting your wife. You're NOT the joint sponsor.

If you use a co-sponsor then that person will mark the option D, 'cus he would be the joint sponsor.

I am blind. I am looking at the I-94 the whole time. Think I need to take a break from this paper work. If it was a snake it would have bit me. On the I 864 was I correct on selecting D? Thanks

Brian,

I agree with Luis&Laura everything they wrote to you. For Form I864 if you are not using a co-sponsor your choice is "A" (I am the petitioner........). Thats what we used too, since my husband is the only one supporting me.

Regarding the I94 #, that # is the only one number on the top of the receipt that the custom officer (in white color paper) staple on the passport of the not US citizen when he/she comes to USA.

I hope to have been helpful to you.

Good luck guys with yr journey!!!!!!
