I have never eaten lobster either. I am not a big fish eating person. I like clam chowder, battered fish and tuna sandwiches.

I do want to try lobster one day so I can say I have tried it..

scrod!

A salesman goes to Boston for the first time. He claims his luggage and goes out front to hail a taxi. The taxi screeches up; the driver opens the door and says, "Where to, pal?"

The salesman thinks for a moment. "Hmmm; this is my first time in Boston," he says. "Take me to a good place to get Scrod."

"Y'know, pal," says the driver, "I've heard that request put in many different ways, in several different dialects, and in a few different languages, but this is the very first time I've ever heard it stated in the pluperfect subjunctive!"

Lobster is OK, it's just too much effort. whistling.gif

True story: At our other house locally, I went out one eve and was astonished to see what looked like a live lobster walking down our walkway, rather rapidly, away from the house. I called Mrs. T-B., who confirmed that it was indeed a langosta (lobster).

The neighborhood garbage had been collected earlier in the day, so we figured that someone had thrown out the lobster, and it escaped, and it was migrating.

I thought about turning a hose on it to make it feel more at home, but Mrs. T-B. accurately pointed out that it seemed to be doing quite well on its own, si man.

I was reminded of the Lewis Carroll lines: 'Tis the voice of the Lobster; I heard him declare, "You have baked me too brown; I must sugar my hair."

This lobster experienced rivaled the time, years before, when I went outside and saw what looked like a sleek black cat across the street. After a double-take, I exclaimed (I believe aloud), "That's not a cat -- it's a ####ing skunk, stink man!" The skunk acted as though it would cross the street, but it stayed on the other side and went off, stink man.

Middle of the week cheat day?no0pb.gif

Gotta do it on the weekend so you can really enjoy it!

Noooo, weekends are dangerous enough as it is. I will be tempted to make it a cheat weekend.

Wednesday just happens to be the one day a week all of our friends can get together for dinner.

Plus it gives me something to look forward to in the middle of the week.

You're right about making it a cheat weekend. Our cheat day is Saturday and it has a tendency to flow over into Sunday most weekends, especially for me. Wifey is much better at keeping it to just Saturday than I am.

It's Hump Day yeah!

I work at the front desk here, so I have a big candy dish. We don't get a lot of visitors, so it's mostly for the employees here.

I almost want to take it away because it seems nobody can grab a piece of candy without talking to me about it.

"Oh, what do you have in the candy bowl today? Hmm, what do I waaaaant ... oh, this looks good. Are these good? I don't really like chocolate. What am I in the mood for? I shouldn't even be having a piece of candy. Maybe I'll just take some gum. Naaaah. What is this?"

SHUT UP.
