No, he wanted advice, or at least someone else to tell him what he's already thinking and dreading in his head. Apparently the GF is a bit... sensitive. I said okay, prepare for tears, bring wine and Kleenex, tell her she's wonderful and amazing and that you are totally in love with her and want to stay in love with her, which is why you're bringing issues up now before they become a bigger problem. I flat out told him that he is not allowed to be out drinking beers with me in 6 months complaining about the same problems, and definitely not allowed to be out drinking beers with me in a year complaining about how he lost the love of his life.

I on the other hand just wanted to talk about movies and SCOTUS decisions and Paula Deen.

It seems that everyone talks about the Paula Deen issue. I overheard an older lady telling her buddy during lunch today, "They did not need to say that Paula Deen was fired because she's a racist idiot. They must have fired her a long time ago because she is very annoying! I don't like seeing her anywhere on TV."

Some people should really just hide their little opinions sometimes.
