You're talking about the mountains, where no one lives.

In my area north of San Francisco, when it rains, it is usually warmer, only the hilltops and narrow valleys get any snow. No rain for the month of December to speak of, so that means almost every night it drops below freezing and the roads ice up. For a couple weeks there, some spots that don't get any sun in winter built up frost so heavy it looked like snow. I would rather have the snow, than all this ice.

Yes, there is a mountain range east of here that separates California from the rest of the US. It is a greater change in elevation heading east into Nevada over the Sierra's from here, than it is on either side of the Rockies. It traps a lot of moisture in the form of snow that California relies on for it's water supply. The highest and lowest points in the lower 48 are in California, and on a clear day, you can one point from the other.

What's with all the change? Everything at the same time. You know I had to look at name history to figure out who you were. That's inconvenient.

My mom's been giving me an hourly update on snowfall there in CT. I guess I'm supposed to feel bad that it's mild and dry here. But as The Postmaster says, we've had way too little in the way of precipitation this past year. By this time we should have had at least a few good rains down here.

What did that take, like two mouse clicks? American's are becoming so lazy, almost as lazy as all them foreigners that keep coming here looking for those streets of gold.

Even lazier is not bothering to change for name for ... like ... 8 years, or so.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

My mouse clicks, sir, are very precious to me.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that a fair number of posters in the Current Affairs forum appear to be having a really grouchy, snarky New Year? unsure.png

alas, not much reporting of successful learning of tantric massage techniques.

Yes, that's what I attribute it to..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
