What's up for the weekend Peeps?

I've got some yard work tomorrow, then out to dinner and drinks with the Mrs. tomorrow night.

Sunday I'm making a roast chicken dinner with apple crisp for dessert, then watching the Patriots vs. the Steelers at 4pm.

That sounds like an awesome day Sunday.

Went to a birthday dinner on Friday night, then went out to a bar on Saturday night to celebrate that birthday all over again. Drank entirely too much for the first time in a long time, but had a lot of fun. Spent yesterday recovering when I should have done housework.

It's good to let loose once in a while.

It is good. They say hangovers peak to strongest levels around age 30, then start to get a bit more manageable after that.

I think people say that because the older one gets, the less they tend to drink, so hangovers aren't too bad. If I tie on a good one, the hangover lasts me two days now. It's been like that since my mid 30's and hasn't gotten any better.

My uncle found a book from the 60s describing how to throw a cocktail party. The book said that the host should plan enough alcohol so that each guest could drink 4 drinks in the first hour, and 2 drinks for every hour after that.

People of that generation got really f*cking drunk.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Yes they did. Drunk driving was not so much of an issue back then so people really let it all hang out.
