We got a RFE notification via the uscis website 5th June ,saying we have mailed you requesting evidence blah blah blah,(no email,no text). So we was thinking our hard copy had been mailed out that day til people on here told me it's the norm to get two notifications before they actually send it out.5 days down the line no second notification and no sign of a hard copy .is this normal? Bearing in mind we with the California office and my fiance address is in california,so it isn't going to take long once it's mailed out.I don't understand what the hold up is with them mailing it.I think I've just about lost my last bit of patience :(

2-3 weeks to get the hard copy usually. 5 days would be really fast to get the hard copy.

i have submit all my papers at may 22 ,2013 and in june 7,2013 i got receipt notice saying that they got my letter and that i could check my status so when i check my status i got one too saying that on june 5 they send the request for evidence and i didnt even got it in mail so i did call them today june 10 to ask about my status and that i didnt even receive a letter that says a request for ev. and it says june 5,2013 they mailed it so when i said i didnt got it yet they says if you didnt have it yet then you need to wait like 15 days if it send from june 5. but after calling them early morning today june 10 and saying that i need to wait till 15 days i got a letter in afternoon from immigration and that was my request for evidence. so i got to work mine today for what evidence they need.. and send them again together with the original copy of requesting for evidence. so if yours not got yet you need to call them and ask for it then they will tell you how long or how many days you need to wait to have the hard copy.

That's beyond stupid ,what's the point of them even informing people till they send the mail out.I don't know how they can justify making people wait for everything like this

Partly due to the fact they batch out the mail, they don't just send one persons letter out.

Partly due to the fact USPS takes a while to sort deliver sort deliver etc.
