Hello!

First, I've been a quite, lurking member of VJ since we started our application process. Your resources and advice have been invaluable to us - so thank you very much.

My fiance and I live together in Morocco. He's going to his hometown to get the required papers for our application tomorrow. However, we've been debating about the police records vs. the court records and I thought I'd turn to the experts for help.

We've got 2 copies of his birth certificate (one for good measure), and he knows where to get the Shahadat Al3ozoba. He also knows where to go for the Segel Adli, but we can't figure out what the police certificate is and where to get it. Can anyone tell me the Darjia name for the police certificate or offer any insight? Or are the police certificate and the segel adli the same thing?

Thanks in advance for your help!

No they are not the same you have to get the police record to show he has no creminal record and the court record to show he does not have any criminal record in all of morocco i know for sure that you need both so make sure ur hubby gets both best of luck on ur interview

I don't know the Darija names for things, but it's the following in french:

FICHE ANTHROPOMETRIQUE - this is the police clearance and one needs to be obtained from every city in every country he's lived in since the age of 16 over 6 months. So if he at age 17 lived in city X for two years and city Y for the next five years, he'd need a police clearance from cities X and Y, which often requires traveling to those cities.
CASIER JUDICIARE - sounds like you have this.

the police certificate is from the city he lives in (every address for the last 5 years). If lives in the country, get from the police that service your area. these 2 certificates need to be recent documents (within the last 30 days before your interview)

good luck
