Ohhh WIcked, thats a fun one, my wife liked it a lot!

Its just Wicked!

Of course, I saw it on Broadway after dinner at Mortons on the company tab :-P

I tried to convince James to take me to see it either in NY or London, but no go. So I'm going home to see it without him :P

Its actually cheaper to fly to TO to see it than go to NYC anyway.

I'll be spending my first Christmas with David here in the US and then I go back home to Canada on the 1st to get my medical done etc in time for the interview. I'm very happy to be with David, but sure will miss my family in the GTA and my parents in Trinidad (where I usually spend Christmas).

Since I'm not entering the US until January, Gene decided to come up here to spend Christmas with me! This is the first Christmas we've spent together. Everyone thinks he's crazy to come up here at this time of year. Just hope it's warmer than -40 this year or he'll never come back for Christmas!

(P.S. Hey, remember those ornaments I made last year and then forgot to put on the tree? Guess what was first up today when we started decorating! )

Yes, I remember those beautiful ornaments-- glad you're on the ball this year! :P(F)

I'm just plain excited, we haven't been home since last September, and it's been driving me crazy, with my dad having to go through chemo (outpatient, thank goodness), my grandparents not getting any younger, and my neice and nephew growing up so fast..... *sigh* Wherever you all celebrate, I really do hope you all have a fantastic Christmas. :)

I'm not sure if it's that I'm on the ball this year, or so annoyed with myself last year that I put them on top of all the ornaments. If I can find my digital camera, I might dust off my craft blog and post a picture of our tree. :star:

Wishing you all the best for your visit home and your holiday season! (F)

Yes, I imagine it is cheaper in Toronto. Hotels are crazy nuts here.

I live about 2 hours from downtown (60 miles) and a room around here is still 200 bucks.

Planning to drive from Boise Idaho to Vancouver on the 22nd of December, coming back on the 27th of December. It's a 12 hour trip one way. It's all going to depend on the road conditions in the mountain passes of Washington state.

How much would it cost me to rent a room at your house?;)

I used to go to New Jersey (Secaucus area) for work quite a bit. There's hotels there still under $200 a night (just barely) and only a 15 minute bus ride into the city. Thru the tunnel. Or take the ferry across, which is much more interesting, or the subway. I prefer the ferry. I don't like tunnels :P

I was hoping to NOT be in Canada for Christmas!

It just doesn't work with our schedules for me to move yet. He spent last Xmas here with me so he needs to be home with family this year. Can't get a reasonable ticket to come up for New Years, so it looks like the separation will continue. I will hang out among my packed belongings, read books and watch Food TV. :)

04/13/06 - I-129F mailed

04/18/06 - NOA1

08/30/06 - NOA2

09/26/06 - received at NVC

Well, it is official - we are also going to Canada for Christmas this year! We had talked about it earlier but hadn't made any definite plans. Then my brother invited us for Christmas so we looked at flights - and moved quickly - even during the day while we checked out flights the prices were increasing dramatically and the available seats were going down!. As it is we missed affordable non-stop tickets to Ottawa so we will have a connecting flight through Detroit with a 3 hour layover on the way down and 1 1/2 hours on the way back . This will be my first time back to Canada since I moved here on my K-1 in May 2004. We'll be flying out December 22 and returning home the 27th. Tim Horton fix, here I come!

(Hmm - better go and see what coldweather winter gear I have packed away in storage - we're going to need it! Hehehe.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
