I read on the Polish forum that a person had to wait 1 year to get all vaccinations.

this was in addition to the many months awaiting for Noa2.

do you guys know what will happen if I do not have vaccination records from childhood?

There were many vaccinations mandatory for children in Poland. However my vaccination records got lost and I'm afraid of being forced to wait 1 year to collect all those vaccinations again.

what kind of experience do you have in this respect?

thank you very much

Pawel

I have a similar experience in the UK in that most of my vaccination records are losts in the mists of time. That said the US process is relatively clear in what you need and when you need to get it. You should review the US requirements and then see which ones you need to have and which ones you can get locally (and how).

In the UK I can choose to get my GP to do them (may cost me) or at the doctors which does the medical we need to have to do a K1 (where it will definitely cost). As I understand it I can also wait until I am in the US and applying for Adjustment of Status and get them done there (will definitely cost and will definitely cost more than in the UK!)

So not having them is not a barrier but you need to find out which ones you need and where is the best place to get them. Please note that childhood vaccinations may need to be re-done anyway due to time lapsed.

This chart shows the requirement by age > http://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/exams/ti/civil/vaccination-civil-technical-instructions.html#tbl1

There are no vaccinations required for a K-1. They are actually required for AOS. Some countries go ahead and give certain vaccinations and some do not. I do not know what they insist on giving in Poland for a K-1, but for AOS all that is required is one in a series of MMR, Tdap/TD, varicella(or history of chickenpox), and a flu shot(only during flu season: Oct. - Mar.).

You just tell them you had it. They take your word for it.

You can also go to your doctor and ask for a Teter test to check your immunities. Basically they draw blood and then send it off to see what your levels are at. This way you have proof of immunizations and or exposure and ti is also good for the AOS.
