I sent out my K1 petition using the I129f form a little over a week ago.I checked my banking web site and got the case number so I can check on the uscis web site. When I registered and checked on my case this is what it told me.

Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On November 21, 2006, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Did they screw up or are all petitions considered I130? I have copies of the whole package so I know I didn't send the wrong one.

I had this happen to me once when I was going through that process. I checked it again the next day and it had been corrected. It could be a glitch or they could have mis filed it. Check it again Monday and if the message still remains try contacting them to get it corrected.
