how many of you filed at NBC got their NOA2, in the estimated approvals dates predicted by VJ?

I called USCIS some time back and they said my file is in Washington DC field office but I did not get any notice about the transfer.

Last month I had an Infopass interview at Washington DC field office (Fairfax, VA), the officer went inside with all my details and after 10 mins she came out and told me that yes your file is here in Washington DC field office (Can it be true?) and no immigration officer assigned to it. Then she said - "I don’t know when an immigration office will be assigned and I know it’s frustrating, but please have patience and wait".

Any one has any idea – what did she check inside? Did she talk to someone?

I have scheduled one more interview for coming Friday, but not sure what else I can ask other than asking whats going on with my file.

Please let me know what else I can ask the immigration officer?

(My I130 is still pending for 8 months now)

I would get a congressmen involved in your case. 8 months is too much.

Your congressman's website or office should have forms etc you can fill out so they can access your information (privacy and all that) with their liaison. Have you tried googling their website?

Mine went to NBC and was received January 22, 2013. It was approved May 10th for NOA2. However, it is taking them FOREVER to get it to the NVC....still not there. ranting33va.gif

My NOA1 was May 21 and it went to NBC. Based on yourtimeline, I should hear about my NOA2 by July 10th (about 3 weeks from now).

11.05.2005: Interview Success at London, England.
03.02.2011: Naturalized Citizen.

Wife IR-1 Petition
09.01.2012: Met wife in Melbourne, Australia.
05.16.2013: Marriage Ceremony.
05.19.2013: I-130 Sent to Chicago Lockbox.
05.21.2013: I-130 Delivered at Chicago Lockbox. Routed to NBC.
05.24.2013: I-130 Fee Check Cashed.
05.28.2013: Notice of Action (NOA-1).

Adjustment of Status from B2 Vistior Visa

09.06.2013: I-485 sent with copy of I-130 and I-765.

09.07.2013: I-485 packet arrived Chicago Lockbox.

09.09.2013: I-485 packet accepted.

09.10.2013. I-485 and I-765 case numbers assigned, and check cashed.

09.10.2013: Notice of Action (NOA-1) for I-1485 arrived via email.

09.18.2013: Biometrics Fingerprints Appointment.

Did you send any evidence of relation I mean any photos or smth like that?

Yes, I sent marriage pictures, marriage certificate, etc but I don't think they have even touched our file.

But everyone's timelines are different... sadly think comparing is a waste of time nowadays (something I've come to realise by reading a lot on here.)

I think by looking at the link that was posted above, we can see that they are now getting to the March filers, so I am basing my wait-time off of that (that they will get to April filers in about 4-6 weeks...)

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

12.13.2013 - NOA2 via email; I-130 approved. Shipped to NVC

NVC (274 days):

12.30.2013 - Arrived at NVC

01.27.2014 - Received case no. & IIN

02.07.2014 - Completed & submitted DS-261 form online

02.13.2014 - Paid AOS bill

02.18.2014 - AOS showing as 'paid'

03.18.2014 - Invoiced for IV bill (finally!)

03.19.2014 - Made payment for IV bill

03.21.2014 - IV bill showing PAID

03.24.2014 - Completed DS-260 online

03.29.2014 - Mailed IV Packet

04.26.2014 - IV packet all approved, false checklist from NVC for AOS packet

05.07.2014 - AOS packet sent

06.12.2014 - AOS packet scanned in (took them THAT LONG to do it)

That's true. However, some April (but very few) filers have already get their NOA2's, but I agree every case has it's own timeline.

That's true. However, some April (but very few) filers have already get their NOA2's, but I agree every case has it's own timeline.

Pretty sure at least two of the three April files with NOA2s got their cases expedited, so it's not really useful to compare theirs with the rest.

I have sent the scan of my approval letter to nvc AND have someone from our Senator's office helping me now...let's see if we can get the ball rolling!!!! good.gif

you can only use that kind of guestimate if your file is at the same local office

local offices all have a different workload so this idea is flawed.. sorry

I had the same problem.. turns out the files are handled in one of two ways if it has not made it to nvc

1. sent to nrc.. yes not a typo.. that is nrc

2. local office sits on it for up to 90 days.. happened to me :( and only with a relentless campaign was I able to free it up

generally the senator's inquiry will get the ball rolling again, but you can always do an infopass and sit there until you get a real answer
