I don't iron....and I find most things don't need ironing as long as they are transferred from washer to drier and removed from the drier quickly and folded or hung.

My husband's mother ironed EVERYTHING and I know he thinks I should do the same....yeah right!!! ;)

He wants everything ironed....then he can iron it!

sounds familiar... hubby's mom used to iron all his clothes... and now he thinks I should do the same.. he knows better then to force the issue though

Yessirree, I iron my clothes every time that I unpack them (been about every two years or so since 1982) and not at any other time. Usually, I don't wear them between packs and unpacks---or, I didn't until I started the office contract in early July. Now, I am expected to wear the "office casual" M-R, but not F 'cause they do Casual Fridays. However, I still don't iron the clothes---I take 'em outta the dryer hot and fold them or hang them while still hot with the hopes that my mother's advice will never fail.

And, it hasn't yet. ;-)

I hate ironing, I usually try to buy clothes that doesn't require ironing, but of course hubby does not operate on the same theory (since he's got me) he doesn't have to iron anyway.

Maybe its because I find ironing so darn frustrating, the water leaks form the iron, and by the time I'm done one area..I managed to magically make a crease in another area, that's a real B@#$% to get out. :ranting:

I ironed our wrinkled going out clothes/handkerchiefs(love it when nicely folded). I love to wear ironed jeans. Ohhh my undies (for sanitary purposes). Linens too (nice to look at in bed and very comfy).

This may sound weird but I make sure our whites are very white so after washing the clothes i checked if the whites are like new if not i soaked it in vinegar for at least 24 hrs then soap again and rinsing. I am not happy if we are not looking neat and clean. It's very important to me so my fiance' was now happy to do the hand washing of white shirts too. I'm surprised he doesnt resist or get upset when he do manuals too :D I told him if u dont want this DONT buy white clothes.

My way of getting the wrinkles out is throwing whatever in the dryer for 5-10 minutes! :P I think I've ironed MAYBE 5 times, which was usually a frilly little dress my daughter had to wear. :star:

oh man! Anthony's from the UK...and before we got married, his mother ironed EVERYTHING, including his underwear! of course, they hang all their clothes out on the line instead of using a dryer...but wow. i will iron if i'm wearing something to a very nice occasion. most everything i own, though, doesn't need ironed.

oh yeah...and i LOVE this stuff!

I iron everything ..linens,clothes underwear..etc..At first Gary wonder why I do that-(he never ever iron his clothes all his life as well as his ex) and I just explain to him ..I told him that he never wear wrinkled clothes ever when I get there..

I do my ironing every sunday and I made Gary iron his clothes also, he promoted as a supervisor at work and I just want him to wear clothes wrinkled-free,oh he really look so pogi! we do the ironing together while the webcam on..and its fun to do the chores with my baby..

I iron only if it really needs it. Sujeet irons his clothes for work because I am not very good at it, and he actually likes ironing. I have tried doing it for him a few times but it takes me 2x longer than him and is not as nice looking afterwards as when he does it. :innocent:
