Travel after wedding between states

Hi everyone,

I was wondering how is with traveling around the US after getting married, but before i receive green card, do i need documents to travel between states? What document do i need? Of course im talkng about flying

A State ID card should be sufficient enough to prove who you are, as long as you do not have a layover in another country (Canada for example). This is just my opinion and do not have experience with it as of yet.

You get these State ID cards at your local DMV, but you will need your social security card and proof of living where you are living. You should call ahead of time to verify this and what evidence is good enough; generally it's mail to that address.

Though as stated below looks like your passport will be good enough.

Thanks, i thought if i use my passport (polish passport) then i need also valid visa, and k-1 visa it looses its validity when entering the US, maybe i could use US marriage certyficate with my passport?

you just have to prove that your name and the name on the plane ticket are the same. Your polish passport will be fine unless you buy the plane ticket using your married name.

Your Polish passport should be fine. I used my passport when traveling inside the US as I had no GC at that point. They did not check my visa.

Until you receive your green card, ALWAYS carry a copy of your marriage certificate with you, and produce it as is necessary (CBP/ICE agents hang around in some airports).

If traveling by car within a 100-mile radius of either U.S. border, there are inland CBP checkpoints, where you would need every possible piece of proof of your lawful status in the U.S.
