For those of you (Canadians) that have been through the K1 process (Vancouver specifically) what were your timelines for having your medical, then interview and then actually having the VISA to be able to cross into the US. I'm trying to plan out how many days I will need to be in Vancouver for medical and interview and then how long before I can finally move. I have heard mixed reviews were some say you are give the visa that day and others say it is mailed. Help

Visa Timeline

09/04/2008 - We met online

02/01/2011 - We became a couple

06/09/2011 - We met for the first time

06/21/2012 - We got engaged

10/26/12 - I-129F Sent

11/1/12 - NOA1

04/23/13 - NOA2

05/16/13 - Consulate Received Package

06/7/13 - Package 3 Sent

6/14/13 - Medical Interview

6/25/13 - Interview Scheduled - APPROVED

Haven't been there, done that yet but it's one of the things that could depend on the embassy that day.

I saw on the doctor's website (I was creeping on it the other day) that the paperwork from the medical would be ready end of day the day after your medical - so plan for a couple days in Vancouver (or you could make arrangements for them to courier results to you).

I'd plan three days in Vancouver at least for medical/interview...just based on what I saw. If they don't/can't get you the visa same day, they'd send it to you.

May 29, 2013 - Finally!!! I-129F and associated forms delivered!

February 18, 2014 - Packet 3 Submitted

February 20, 2014 - Packet 4!!

May 5, 2014 - Medical

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview

May 13, 2014 - K1 visa in hand!!!

July 2, 2014 - POE (Sweetgrass)

July 23, 2014 - apply for EI (mother of god that was confusing...)
