OK I REALLY NEED HELP.

MY HUSBAND HAS HEPATITIS B, I RECENTLY FOUND OUT BECAUSE HE TOLD ME THAT LAST YEAR HE GOT TO DONATE BLOOD TO HIS COLLEGE BUT THIS YEAR THEY DIDN'T LET HIM

CAUSE HE HAS THE HEP B.

HE'S GOING MEDICAL ON THE 17 of this MONTH BUT IM KINDA WORRIED ABOUT IT, HE WENT SCREENING CHECK BLOOD N LIVER ALL THAT AND HIS DOCTOR SAID ITS GETTING SMALL, WHATEVER THAT MEANS. HE SAID LIKE ITS NOT ALOT LIKE THE OTHERS, BUT THE THING IS I'VE BEEN READING ON VJ THAT SOME PEOPLE THAT HAD HEPATITIS B PASS THEIR MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW.

PLEASE I NEED ADVICE ASAP :(

The UCIS website (http://uscis.gov) confirms that hepatitis B is not a communicable disease of "public health significance" for immigration purposes. The list only includes nine infectious diseases: severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), tuberculosis, leprosy, HIV, syphilis, chancroid, gonorrhea, granuloma inguinale and lympho-granulom.

Having Hepatitis B will not affect his visa approval. He should, of course, be truthful about it if asked.

As far as I know, the Hep B should not be a problem at the medical.

Use the search function at the top-right corner of this site and look up hepatitis B. You'll see many people who faced the same situation, and things turned out fine for them.

I'm sure you'll be fine :)

@lucid thank you soo much,

So how did your medical went?

wink.png

It went well, thanks for asking :)

I was also worried about something at the medical, but after researching a bit on VJ I've found it shouldn't affect me negatively either, so I'm calm now.

Good luck!! :)
