Hi,

my fiance in the States is unable to use internet for the next 2,3 weeks, so it's on me to find out what to prepare for his petition. I've been looking up everything on the USCIS homepage, but still it's pretty confusing comparing those informations with the informations I found on a Do-it-yourself-K1-Visa-Package.

I just wanna know what are the exact first steps to get the forms, any letters or documents together and prepared so I can send that list to my fiance and he can fill out everything and let him send it to the local office in Atlanta.

Thank you in advance for helping me out with the right informations :-)

Please print out and use the step by step guide for forms and items needed. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Edit - Also please read the instructions - you DO NOT send it to the local office. The address to send everything to is clearly listed in the I-129F instructions.

Its not fishy & nobody's business.. Anyway good luck on your visa journey. I was super confused how to get everything & put it together at first too but the guides on here make it much easier! The USCIS website was hard for me to und so if anymore questions arise I'd recommend posting them here. Again good luck!

I highly recommend the GUIDE here for the K-1, follow that and you do just fine... I did.

yes..the guide on VJ is great, follow that and you will be fine. You will need to complete form G325A and also a letter of intent to marry, sign and date both of those. And you will need passport size photos, they are cheap so send him several. My fiance sent me 8 photos just in case I need extras, she spent 5 dollars for the passport photos. The other forms will require his signature because he will be the petitioner, and he will have to get a passport photo as well. Does he have the evidence that you met within the last 2 years? or do you have to send that to him as well? And tell him to make copies of everything that he sends.
