Filipino Flight to USA

To fly out of the Philippines does the USA require a round trip ticket to be purchased ? My fiancee would have the K1 Visa . I read online that the Philippines expects a return ticket be shown upon entry . To be honest I do not remember showing my tickets to the customs when I arrived to the Philippines . Has anyone from the Philippines flown out of the country to the USA with a one way ticket ?

Sounds like you found a cheaper 1 way ticket vs. round trip? I remember bringing my fiancee (now wife!) here in 2009 and all the RT tickets were 40-50% cheaper than 1 way. Go figure. So I just bought her a RT ticket and did not use the return portion. We had no issues with customs etc.

She isn't a .... tourist! She is coming to stay!! So one way it is!

Has anyone flown from the Phils to the States with a one way ticket? ALL K-1 and C/R-1, basically anyone with an immigrate visa for sure!!

RT is sure cheaper if you intend to leave and return to your home country right after.

I got a quoted price for Manila to Orlando one way is $762 RT is 1,500 . That's with United Airlines . I would try Phil Airlines , but they do not land in Orlando .

That's a lot cheaper, we paid $930 Hawaiian Air for LAX only. But then again that was Dec 1 last year.

From what I read on their website Hawaiian states that route is not making a profit so as of 1 August they are dropping Manila as a destination. Sucks as it was a good flight for me from AZ to Manila.
