I just cannot understand how some people get approved before others, I don't understand how the USCIS works.

There are many adjunctators working on K-1 visas and some may finish their workload quicker than others, for varying reasons. When they do, they move on to the next available batch. They don't just sit around until the others finish their workloads. This is why you will see some approved from later dates while others are still approved from earlier dates.

Makes sense, thank you.

Hi Everyone! I think that the discrepancies are that some people are from countries that they might take a harder look at,(hmmm not fair) that some petitions contained more pertinent information that they could use....hence less RFE's. We don't know what happens with everyone's petitions, everyone doesn't post updates. Some people split up (I can imagine the stress contributes) and some people change to CR1 (as we did) If we put all our petitions side by side I am sure we would all go "OH I put that in, OR I forgot that" add change of addresses, typo errors, info errors. One would hope we are dealt with equally. I do. Some of us have been married longer, some of us have children, some of us need a sponsor...it all comes into play. My thought is to keep on with our daily lives, be productive,

be supportive to our partners as this is incredibly difficult, educate ourselves so we become immigration experts. Seems to me that VJ provides us with great infomation and a platform to vent. Its great. I totally believe the difficulty in obtaining this is to weed out the people who may not be genuine. I have a hard time believing that people would do that but I think its true. I am one those people who believes "things happen for a reason".

When I see people posting about partners being nasty, violence or having a mental infirmaty that will cause future problems I think....and you want to be with this person? Why are you still fighting to be with them. (disclaimer...I understand depression but not violence, unlawful behavior or control issues) Just not cool.

I do wish all VJers a speedy approval without RFE's! Lets get back together with our loved ones.

I am seeing a ton of February filers getting their NOA2's and now some March filers and I would like to see how many January filers are still waiting, I got my NOA1 on Jan 8th. I am now at 5 months of waiting and my congressman said to wait another 30 to 45 days!!! I'm starting to go crazy and fear the same wait as the July filers of 2012... much respect to you guys by the way!! I hope my turn is here soon!

Best of Luck to all!!!

Conor&Maresa

Hi Conor & Maresa,

We filed a few weeks after you. NOA1 on 1/22 at VSC, but transferred to TSC on 6/21, just shy of the 5-month mark. No receipt or confirmation that TSC actually received our petition.

Poonam lives in India. I last time I saw her was Dec 2012, so I plan to make another trip in Sept or Oct. I hope you two have been able to visit each other more frequently since USA & Mexico are neighbors.

Best of luck to you on NOA2 and remaining steps. Have a wonderful marriage! Be grateful that you found each other.
