March 23, 2010 Email ( case transferred to local office for interview.

March 25, 2010 Interview Letter Arrived.

April 29, 2010 Interview (Rescheduled)

May 24, 2010 Interview (Passed)

June 17, 2010 Oath Letter Received

July 14, 2010 Oath Date ...........

July 14, 2010 DONE

call between 8:30am to 4:30pm

Apparently they start the checks right away because I know of someone who interviewed on 20th who is already completed while the rest of us are still waiting. Like the petition approval, it does not go in order!!

Phew! Well that gives me a little hope.

I have to keep reminding myself that every case is different and not to compare mine with everyone else's.

Every case is unique and each Embassy operates differently. The "normal" waiting time post-interview for Cairo is 3 to 6 months unless the beneficiary is female or non-muslim. As it was explained to me by DOS it just depends on how many security checks they order and what kind of "hits" they encounter that they have to address. Hope that helps. I didn't mean to scare you.
