I'm in the final process of AOS which is the interview.

I'm here on a F1 student visa.

Once I pass my interview and get my green card, my questions are:

1. when do I get an in-state-tuition?

2. do I qualify for Financial aids?

Afaik.

1. The University itself has to determine that! In each state it is different and then again in each University.

2. Usually yes, as long as you fill out FAFSA and you are registered with the Selective Service. (But I am not 100% on this one)

Edit: Just remembered, I had someone in my class recently that was from Algeria with a GC and received financial aid, so it should be possible if you are eligible (under the other requirements)

Yes I had a similar question.

I am the USC and going to school... I AM allowed to ask for financial aid through FAFSA without my husband's sponsor getting in any "trouble" right?

=P I know its a silly question, but I am putting my husband and my income on the FAFSA forums so thought Id ask to be safe.

Thanks !
