Courthouse wedding 6 months prior to wedding ceremony

Hello,

I'm currently on the OPT status of my F-1 visa. My fiancee (US citizen) and I have been dating for almost 3 years.

In the next couple weeks is our 3 year anniversary. We decided to get married at a courtroom on our anniversary date.

However, we won't have a religious cerimony until December.

We really want to keep our anniversary special and also give me a chance to start on my paperwork.

My OPT expires on January.

So, since we won't hold a ceremony until December, but we could be sending out all of our paperwork for my AOS as soon as late June, would that cause any concern?

I've never been out of status or anything of such kind.

We are pretty young though, one of my fiancee's parents will probably be one of our joint sponsors.

USCIS do not care how you got married, only that you are legally married.

Lots of people get married at the courthouse, not a problem. I may still take a photo, and/ or one if you go to dinner with some friends after.

What is more important is showing you have a bonafide relationship- proof you life topgether, co-mingling of finances, and even just photos from the last 3 years.

What do you mean by originality?

Court house weddings tend to be fairly quick and "cookie cutter", not much originality there.
