Hey Nick,

There was never alimony....

Was also wondering how you managed to remarry, in Wisconsin, both my wife to be and I had to show our divorce papers before they would even issue a marriage license. Then we had a two week wait so they could check them out. And I as a resident of this state had no choice but to get a marriage license in my county or would be subject to a $10,000.00 fine.

If this wasn't enough, gather the USCIS does not trust the state of Wisconsin, we had to show our divorce papers again for the AOS, then again when my wife applied for US citizenship. USCIS doesn't even trust themselves.

I really know the feeling after a divorce, really want to completely block that out of your mind, USCIS won't let you. Mine was 51 pages long with double sided print. Had to copy that twice, really teed me off.

Seriously? Wisconsin doesn't allow you to get married out of state?

We can married where ever we want, but must apply for the marriage license in our own country, no exceptions. If two get married in this state, but live in two different counties, they do have a choice. Another choice is to leave this state. A bit linient if you do, give you so many days after you get married to apply for a license. They want your 150 bucks.
