I had been operating on the assumption that the visa application fee was $240 for my financee and her child. Now I look on the usatraveldocs.com website and it says "Visa applicants, including children, are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable visa application fee". Does this mean that my fiancee will need to pay $480 at the embassy? While it is not unexpected I am rather surprised that this detail hasn't been discussed any of the discussions I've seen so far. Thanks!

Lots of misinformation and assumptions?

All this is clearly contained in the Guides, Sticky Notes and regional forum threads.

I never said misinformation. WRT the guides, at least the K-1 Visa Guide does not mention this fact. Of course it could be mentioned elsewhere, I was just saying that I had not seen it personally. If you know of a specific place that covers K-2 visa issues please link it and I'll go check it out, thanks!

Two people, two visas... two fees, states so on all the official websites and in the instructions letter.
