biometric question

my wife received a letter with a date, june 19th, for a biometric. can someone explain to me what that is? what is the process like? what does she have to do there? i have been reading the forum and some had interviews. i like to be prepared.

your sent an appointment letter date and time and address to have your biometrics, your finger prints and your photo taken be sure to bring the appointment letter and some picture ID don't miss the appointment date

What local office are you dealing with? The Atlanta office, and many others, are really good about going early for biometrics if necessary

Hi,

The biometrics appointment is for USCIS to gather biometric information about the applicant. There are no interviews. Your spouse will have to appear at the specified center at the given time. There, they will take his/her fingerprint scans. That's pretty much it. Its quite a simple process.
