We're jealous of all his sweet government benefits. Duh.

Just for the record I did not collect any unemployment during my brief retirement and start back to work Monday.

Unemployment is not really a 'free' government benefit. You paid into that system already, it's just that a government office administers the payouts to you. It's your money, you already paid YOUR monies into that system...

WOW - That Obama fella sure is waffling on a lot of topics this year, similar to his predecessor.

So, Yet Another 'Waffler' in the midst ... Sheesh, this 'change you can believe in' tagline really has died a horrible death.

Good for you!

I can't handle not working. I mean, my job now is slow and boring at times, but it's something and it's somewhere to go every day. Staying at home the first few months when I came to the US, I almost lost my damn mind.

I don't plan on 'not working' again until it's time for babies.

I like my waffles with plenty of syrup.

Why so soon?

My deal was this..I really meant to retire. My company gave me 14 months severance. Then I planned to draw at least 6 months unemployment. I got VA health care so I am set right. By the time unemployment runs out I have no debt

Well low and behold one of the staffing agencies I had used quite regularly to fill positions, Manager, kept bugging me about a defense contractor who had a need for someone who fit a certain skill set I posses and could very quickly get security clearances etc. Next thing you know i have a start date of Monday.

I guess I just to wired to be driven, to sit on my ####### at home. when i can be making serious bank. i don't plan to do it more than a year or two, then move to the PI..

The Kenyan covered in syrup ? No No No, that's not my particular fetish, O Teddy.

again, I digress ...

----

Personally, I think it's GREAT that the NSA is catching all the phone calls for the terrorists, and The Kenyan should not ever interfere with that. Sure, it means that many phone customers have their call-records trek'ed through a system, but if it increases the efficiency of catching terrorists, I'm all for it.

So, that's really the bigger question - has it increased the USGovernment's efficiency in catching terrorists, or no ?

Same with my wife Penny. No job, no friends and not knowing the area can be a real strain on ones mental state.

I absolutely support our government.

I do not support restrictions of our rights. I absolutely agree we need government and we need rights. How are the two opposed? Only when government is allowed to get too big and lose its initial intent. People who cannot seem to grasp that being against the oppression of rights is not the same as "being against the government" should probably go read about Paris Jackson. Low information types should just watch...kind of like a reality show.

What is freedom for you? The right to own a gun and pay minimum taxes? Sad! I suggest you take a philosophy course stop brandishing word like rights and freedom about.

I cried for home nearly every day. It was pretty bad. It's amazing what a little EAD/AP card can do. I was suddenly un-stuck and could go and do things that didn't just include housework! Weee.

Someone needs to write a guide on what to do in those first few months for the beneficiary, because it hit me like a truck.

I don't think I could sit home either, I'd have to be doing something, even if it was part time. Good luck in your new venture NB. I would like to move outta heeyah eventually too.

Yup!

First thing I did was buy my wife a car so she could get out when she wanted, but it still drove her nuts.

Same with my wife. The EAD/AP card changed everything for her. Now she doesn't feel like a prisoner.
