Obama's Civil-Liberties Record Questioned

The collection of telephone records, started by George Bush and continued by Obama, in addition to his attempts to strip Americans of their 2nd amendment rights and 1st amendment rights with oppressive tax policies against political enemies, has finally awoken the compliant media.

Criticized as unconstitutional, the collection of phone records was supposed to halt when Obama was elected to fix the problems George Bush caused. Obama now says Bush was right, in announcing that collecting the phone records of Americans is an important tool in fighting terrorism. People who support our civil rights point out that collecting phone records IS terrorism! Obama could have halted the intrusion in American's 4th amendment rights the day he took office. He has expanded it in his campaign against the rights of Americans

Obama's Soviet style tactics to suppress political enemies continue.

You going to get a lot of One's on this one. Point is I don't give a rats ####### if GWB started it or not. If he did he was wrong, Obama is wrong and it needs to stop.

We are losing our freedoms.

What I don't understand is that the very people who were so up in arms about it, now just shrug and say, "Bush started it". Ok Bush started it. he sucked. Now what.

Of course not. Conservatives then argued that only those that have something to hide would be against the righteous fight against the terrorists. This surveillance, they said, doesn't target good, law abiding Americans it protected them from teh evilz. Now that teh evilz have taken over the federal gubmint, however, this very same program is an outrage.

I thought it was wrong then, I think it is wrong now. But hey, I guess that just means that I've got something to hide, yes?

I thought it was an invasion of privacy, but when GWB did it, I didn't hear anyone up in arms.

Don't worry, I don't really have much of an expectation of the moderation at all aside from not being particularly impartial. That expectation is consistently fulfilled.

Report Button? You mean to tell me that our sissy crowd that supports the NRA hits the report button right about the same time that I hit the "Submit Post" button on an NRA post? They've got mighty thin skin, yes?

For God's sake man. Someone please take that Adverb out of that title so we can get back on GZ and Guns.

New title-- Use of Adverb in news title sparks congressional investigation in VJ mod practices. .

I thought it was an invasion of privacy, but when GWB did it, I didn't hear anyone up in arms.

You must have been deaf. What *&%% difference does it make if GWb started it. It's wrong then and it's wrong now .

It blows my mind that so many of you people claim to be for civil liberties but all you can say is .....Bush did it to".
