They will stamp it when u attend d seminar

How about the registration?

For CFO- If you DO NOT have the visa yet, you will pay P400 for the registration and after the seminar you will receive the CFO certificate ONLY. You have to return to the CFO office once you receive the visa and bring with you the issued certificate and CFO will attached the certificate and CFO sticker in your passport.

If YOU HAVE the visa already, you will pay for the registration fee and after the seminar/ counselling, you will immediately receive your certificate and sticker. CFO staff will be the one to attach the cert and sticker to your passport based on my observation.

I am done w/ my CFO seminar even if I am still at NVC stage waiting for my AOS and IV packets to be reviewed. smile.png

Im confused on the order to get the medical and CFO. I thought the CFO was after the medical and interview? I have seen some getting the medical and CFO before the interview,So confused??? I want to send my fiancée to Manila for the medical but don't want to go in the wrong order? Her friend told her she had to do the CFO before the medical?

Any help? Thanks

It makes no difference as to order, except you do the medical BEFORE the interview, and you need the MNL # to do the medical, after that no one cares. You can do CFO before you even get the MNL # as it has nothing to do with the visa only relates to "leaving" the Phils.

Her friend is a wealth of ... useless information.

Wait even for cr1 visa, kahit wala pa visa in hand?

I thought the pre departure seminar is after interview cause you get ur passport stamped right.

You can do the seminar before the interview, then stop back at CFO once you have your passport back with the visa, also bring the certificate they give you after completing the seminar to get the sticker in your passport.

Im sure if things have changed but base on my experience at the CFO office for K1 they will allow you to have both PDOS and Guidance and counselling even if you dont have the visa yet the only hassle is that you have to go back after you receive your passport with visa to have it stamped at the CFO office.

I did mine in a week Monday and Tuesday was my medical Wednesday - CFO then Friday of that week was my interview and then on the date of my flight i went back to the CFO office and have my passport stamped (w/c took me 20 mins) and then head out to the airport for my flight.

As for CR1 based on what they said at the office they have to attend the seminar to get a passport.

K1 is allowed to attend PDOS and G&C with/without a passport.

btw i did mine last November 2012

Hope this helps. God bless :)

Hello Vic & Marilyn. Marilyn can attend the CFO seminar even before her medical and interview or after her medical and interview..

If Marilyn attends the CFO seminar without the visa in hand yet and if everything will be ok, she will be given a Guidance and Counseling Certificate. She would need to bring the following for the Guidance and counseling seminar:

If she will attend the seminar before having the visa in hand and finished the seminar and have the Guidance and counseling certificate, she would need to go back to CFO once she has the visa in hand to Register at CFO and get the sticker before leaving to US. as she cannot leave the PH if she don't have that sticker from CFO on her passport. She would need to bring the requirements for Registration too.

=====

If Marilyn decides to attend the seminar once she has her visa in hand, she would need to present the following requirements for Registration and Guidance and counseling program:

If everything will be ok, she would then get her Guidance and counseling certificate and register too on the same day and have the sticker on her passport...

=====

For some who attended the seminar before having the visa in hand, they also informed CFO that they would like to have the sticker on the day of their departure.. but with this, Marilyn should also verify this during her seminar if she will attend before having the visa in hand and IF she wants to get the sticker on the day of her departure..

Also, the Registration don't happen yet if there is no visa in hand yet.. that is why once we have the visa, that is when we can "register" at CFO and get the sticker and booklet that they will give to us. also we should be able to attend to the seminar before registering....

=====

btw, I already had my medical exam yesterday and today and it all went well. Good luck Vic and Marilyn

Thank You! Great info, glad your medical went well. Ill send you a PM....

You can go to the CFO seminar whenever. If you will have it BEFORE the interview you have to go back there for the stamp but if you go there AFTER the interview you will have it all at once.

Yes, exactly! Not only useless, but wrong information that caused confusion. Thank you for all your useful knowledge....much appreciated! idea9dv.gifdancin5hr.gif
