Congrats to all those who are getting good news! Wish it were the same for us...

Filed AOS June 10th. Our local office (Helena, MT) is currently processing February 15, 2013. UGH!!!!!!
I also filed for my EAD and AP, with a letter requesting for my AP to be expedited due to my sick grandpa. Hopefully they work this quickly. SO frustrating. I cannot wait for the 2 months free of USCIS.

Does anyone know at which time we can file for citizenship? I thought I had read that you can file for citizenship after 3 years of being married to US citizen...

You can file for citizenship after being married for 3 years to a US Citizen, but you also have to have been a Permanent Resident for those years as well.

It is not after 3 years of being married. It is Three years from the date you became a legal resident, you can file for the Citizenship three months before the three years.

Wahoo!!! Just received notification of a status update on AOS today:

Card/ Document Production

On November 6, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

yehey.congrats

Hey there dfjd,

On the 21st of October I received the "Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Case" letter. My filing date was June 11.

Thanks for the reply CDN (NO) , then I don't know what is the problem with my case no interview waived letter. Since 15 June 2013. Edited by dfjd

Thanks for the reply, then I don't know what is the problem with my case no interview waived. Since 15 June 2013.

I hear that some people get the letter and some people don't get the letter. Like with the interview getting waived some get the letter and some don't. Good luck the rest of your journey.

Hi Sanyata and everyone else.

Turns out the error was on my part.

The lady told me to either wait till this one is up, and change it when removing conditions.
or get a court order and pay the $450 to get them to change it.

I decided to go with the latter, hopefully i get no issues over the next 19 months

Wow. Just wow.

Me and my wife had our interview this morning at the L.A. office. We prepared a crate of stuff to bring (yes, a rolling crate with wheels -- http://i.imgur.com/EaIMqnz.jpg and http://i.imgur.com/1t9frv4.jpg ). Our interview was scheduled for 8:05. We got there at 7:00, got through security fine and made our way up to the 8th floor. We waited....and waited.....and waited. Finally at about 9:45 we were called. My wife had gone to use the restroom, so the IO said she would come back in a few minutes to get us. A few minutes pass and she comes back and gets us. We head into her small office, rolling crate in tow. She swears us in and we sit down. She asked for our ID's, my wife's passport (not mine) and my birth certificate. She went over and verified our information, while making pleasant small talk with us. She asked about our distance, but we explained everything and the plan we have in place to move, which she seemed fine with.

She then realized they didn't have a G-325 for me. So she gives us a blank one to fill out and sends us outside to fill it out while she says she will finish up our paperwork. On the way out, I was trying to roll the cart out when she made mention of us bringing everything and then mentioning "I don't need it". So we go back to the waiting area and I fill out the form. A few minutes pass and she comes to get us, with a paper in her hand. We get up ready to go back in. She says "I won't drag you guys back in here". She looked over the G-325 quickly and right there in the waiting area hands my wife her GC approval!

We. Were. Shocked. :) :) :)

We had a whole crate of stuff and they didn't ask for any joint documents, any pictures or any proof -- of anything, even though we had everything.

We went to get lunch afterwards happy and absolutely shocked at how easy the whole thing was and could not be happier!!!!

I'm a June filer as well and my field office is Miami, Fl.

Since July in in testing and interview. And no changes or updates so far.

Is this normal or should I contact them? Or should I wait some more?

I appreciate some advice smile.png

Did you received EAD card? I would call them its been six months since you filed. At least just to make sure your file hasn't been lost. It happens that USCIS loses files.
