Congrats on your approval!

We just had our interview yesterday and had to wait 1hr 30mins till we were called in.

Got there around 9:30am (interview was at 10am) and we weren't called until close to 11:30am.

That wait was brutal!!! But luckily the interview itself was over in 15mins.

He asked to see original Birth Certificates and passports and Driver Licenses and Wedding Certificate.

He just asked each others birthdays and name of her mom and dad. Place of POE and asked about my job.

He loved the fact that we were organized and quick to hand over originals quickly to him.

He said we gave a lot of solid evidence and will approve the case.

Then he looked at the pictures we brought in and talked about RoC in 2 years.

Thank goodness the interview approval went nice and easy other than the wait time to get called in!

Good luck to the others that have their interview soon!

Congrats...J&h, our timelines were similar...!

OMG Sint it so frustrating?!? Have you called USCIS or you local office yet? Have you consider making an appointment for an info pass?

Just to clarify so that I have things right, have you been put into the "Testing and Interview" stage on USCIS.gov or have you heard nothing at all about an interview. I am still in the "Acceptance" stage on USCIS.gov. I am not going to call the local office or make an infopass appt just yet. I have my combo card so I figure as long as I can work, etc.

I have been in "Testing and Interview" stage since 7/22 and was expecting a letter with an interview date after that but nothing. That's the last update and so far nothing else.

I do have my combo card also but the waiting is so loooonnngggg ;)

Wow, so many replies now to this topic since I last read it about 2 months ago. My wife and I had received a RFE in July. They needed her medical examination done, my 2012 W-2 and her birth certificate. The medical examination had taken forever as there was a 30 day wait period in-between some of the shots she needed. We were FINALLY able to turn everything into the lawyer last week and she mailed everything to USCIS on Thursday.

Now, the wait.......

and congratulations to everyone who has been approved!!!!!!

Hello everyone! I have had very many updates since the last time I wrote here, so I thought I should share.

I'll start congratulating all the people that have finished their journey and wishing luck to the ones who have not finished yet.

As I mentioned on August 5th I was approved for expedite AP and EAD and in August 9th the card was sent to my house. I had to leave for home so I left on the 10th, assuming my husband would bring with him the card that was supposed to arrive on the 12th, and he was leaving on the 12th at night. The card came on the 13th so we decided to wait for his return to ship it back to me in Italy so I could come back into the US. He shipped the card to me and it got lost in the mail (we used a certified courier). Besides being furious and raging, I had to find out what to do. I had to go to the Italian embassy in Rome (which is a 2 hour train ride from my parent's house) and have them make a transportation letter with my picture on. I arrived at the border here in Boston and I was sent for secondary inspection. After waiting 4 HOURS (literally) I was told that everything was fine and I could go. That only fed my rage towards the courier.

But back to us, I had my interview today!

I had my appointment in the afternoon at 3pm, but my husband could absolutely not take off work so we went with an infopass appointment last Tuesday and asked them if they could move the appointment to an earlier hour. They were so kind to move it to 8.15am. We went in the Boston office at 8.00am and gave the interview notice at the receptionist at the desk, then we sat down. At 8.09 an officer came out and asked only my husband to follow him. He went and I waited outside for about 12 minutes. When he called me I followed him into a cubicle office. My husband was sitting right outside and I sat at the desk. He started to ask me questions about how we met, where we live, what we do for fun and I could see he was writing my answers down on a column in a page where the other half was already filled out with my husbands answers. He didn't ask too many questions, nor too grueling ones. I later found out that he asked my husband for the bank transcript with both our names, the invitation to our housewarming party we'll have on 11/3, the pictures of our wedding. He kept all those things on file. He kept all the I94's I still had with me and after a long list of (rather stupid) routine questions he told us that the case was approved and that my green card would be in the mail in 7-10 days. He also mentioned the RoC in 1 year and 9 months. I was afraid that we wouldn't have enough documentation, but what we brought was plenty. I guess we did not have anything to hide and he could see that.

He didn't want to see our birth certificates because he said they were already on file. I have to say that with all my immigration situations this one was pleasant and quick, and that the officer was very nice. Glad it's over, now I only have a few days to wait for my card!

Sim.Mon: What an ordeal with the lost card. But now it will become a great story and memory for the future. Glad it all worked out and the GC is on the way!
