Just checked the USCIS site for the I-485 and got this:

On August 27, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

THE GREEN CARD IS ON ITS WAY.

I'm sooo thankful as my wife has been beside herself worrying about blowing the interview and not getting approved. Now she is singing !!!!!

Now we'll see how long it takes to get the green card.......

I just want to ask, what did the consul ask you to submit documents to them. Did you give them another I-864, income tax, employment letter and paystubs? My interview will be this Thursday... WE are nervous...

Don't worry, as long as you have all your docs and supporting evidence together you got nothing to be nervous about. I can't believe we are so close to taking almost two years off from the USCIS. When the GC arrives in the mail I'm sure it will be a big sigh of relief. I'm thinking of having a little party to celebrate.

The only think he ask for was health insurance coverage. I gave him copies of the HSA we have and the bank statements we had. He never asked for or looked at, anything else. But that doesn't mean your interviewer won't ask. So take it all!

Hey guys! My EAD has just been mailed! But now I am debating on whether or not I should wait to go get my SS card until after I get my green card (interview Septemeber 11th) to avoid having to remove conditions on my SS. What do you think? What are you guys doing? If you have a SS with conditions, how long do you have I get them removed? And what if you go get a drivers license? Ugh I just want to be done!!!!

Oh! And how did some of you track your EADs? I didn't get any tracking information. How long did it take to arrive after it was mailed?

I'm planning on waiting till I get the GC. I don't want to go to the SS office twice in less than a month, I'd rather wait and just go once. To see the tracking number go to the uscis case status, entered your number and you'll be able to see that info.

I wouldve done that too, but i needed to get my name on the documents so signify joint ownership and stuff.

And you will receive another email that provides the tracking number.

Two days ago the site said:

On August 27, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.

Now it says: Decision

On August 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

So now we don't know if it's 30 days or 60 days or what? At any rate it seems it's all good!

Interview done today. August 29, 2013 @ 10:15 am

9:50am - arrived at the USCIS office

1.)The officer asked me my interview letter and passport, my husband presented to him a US citizen ID (Driver's Licence)

2.)Security Check

3.)Registration CHeck-in : He instructed me to drop the interview letter at WIndow 2

10:05 am: The interviewing Officer called my name and brought us into his room. He instructed us to make an oath. Things he asked:

1.) My passport - he took the I-94

2.) Marriage certificate- (he returned it to me after the interview)

3.) Husband's passport

Questions: He asked everything about the Form I-485, Everything what's in there.

He didn't ask us about our marriage, He told us the marriage certificate is enough.

He asked me a proof of my pregnancy. I gave him my prenatal appointments and the ultrasound pictures of my baby girl.. a bit sad because he took my baby's souvenir.. =(

Then, he said I met the conditions of K-1 visa which was getting married w/in 90 days. I'll just wait for my card or receipt notice within 30 days. He won't tell me that I'm approved spot on, he will approved it maybe today or tomorrow. He gave a Notice Interview result stating your case is being held for review.

10:20am: left the USCIS office..

Irah, sounds like you did good. It'll probably show up on the web site in a couple of days as approved and card production ordered.

Too bad about the ultra sounds, maybe your doc can produce copies for you?
