for me it was, pretty straightforward. took everything they could possibly need. But all they asked for was my passport and EAD.

And i put in my parents names and i clicked unknown for the #.

olsan3, does your SS card say "authorized to work only with DHS" or something like that? I've had my SSN for almost a year now, but I have this written on my card (because I got it through F1 visa) and I'm wondering if I should change it now.

06/24/13 Received hard copy NOAs and biometrics appointment

07/17/13 Biometrics appointment

07/23/13 Status updated to "Testing and interview"

08/16/13 EAD approved

08/30/13 AOS approved. Interview was canceled by USCIS. But I showed up and was approved! :)

Yes it does.

so in your case you will have to wait for your GC before you return to remove the restrictions on the card. :-)

Today has capped off in awesomeness...So today I got a call from an employer who interviewed me a few weeks ago to see if I can work out. So here I am sitting at home wanting to have my EAD. At 5:12pm I get a text notification to check case status online as there has been an update!!!! Card is in production, wahoo!!!

Nice!!! If you are like everyone else, it should be in your hands 8-10 days from now. I am still waiting for mine 5 days after it went into production...hurry up EAD!!! :)
