Quick Question,

for the interview checklist it says to bring your birth certificate.

I have mine but im the usc.... does it have to be the original one for my husband (beneficiary)? He doesnt have the original with him .

thanks :)

Oh and today we received the hard copy of our interview notice- sept 11 scheduled at 10:50am!

SophiaNicole - I believe the instructions throughout this whole process is to have all the original documents ready and available should they request them. So I'd say take all the originals. If you don't have his original birth certificate take a copy and hope they don't ask for the original which I doubt they will. We're taking all the originals for everything we ever submitted to them just to be safe.

We've been organizing and assembling everything listed on the interview notice checklist. It seems like almost everything on the list is something already sent to them, some on numerous occasions. I'm glad we made two sets of copies of everything so we're able to put most of the stuff together pretty easily. Just have to finish off printing out pictures and we're good to go!

We're just going to lug everything we have, our copies of K1, Pack 3&4, EAD, AOS & AP along with originals so we'll have any and every thing they might ask for....

Well we are. I figure we're too close to the end zone to not have any documents that they might ask for. The interview checklist says, "Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise we may keep your originals for our records." I guess you could interpret that several ways but I'm bringing copies of the applications just to CYA.

its confusing..and im afraid the letter isnt clear enough for me.

Since mine is just a day after AnnaBanana28, i would just take what you take, in addition to other advice i guess.. haha

I'm taking mine with me just in case. I think it is more important to read them, Cause for sure they will ask you the same questions on the applications and they expect to hear the same answers you put. Have you received your EAD yet?

also- silly question but we didnt make copies of the passport pictures... do we need to bring that to the interview?

I'm pretty sure that they will ask you for his original birth certificate, not sure if they will be willing to budge without it. I would do whatever I could to get my hands on the original before your interview, the last thing you want is to be denied or sent back with an RFE so close to the dinish line.

Also, we didn't make copies of the passport photos either, but I doubt they will need them. I was told at the biometrics appointment that they use the photo that they take of you to put on your green card and EAD...so i don't know why they request so many passport photos ?
