Hi Irah, I wish I knew myself. I guess they were swamped with applications or something.

06/15/13 USCIS received application

06/20/13 Checks cashed

06/24/13 Received hard copy NOAs and biometrics appointment

07/17/13 Biometrics appointment

07/23/13 Status updated to "Testing and interview"

08/16/13 EAD approved

08/30/13 AOS approved. Interview was canceled by USCIS. But I showed up and was approved! :)

I'm sorry to hear that, you must be very disappointed.. Did you received a notification by mail about the interview?

Thanks for your support. I got a letter in the mail about cancellation, but no new interview date yet.

I did a search on the internet, and people actually recommend to attend the interview anyways. Some people got their green card denied (by mistake) because they didn't show up to the canceled interview! Not sure what to with all this information.

On the bright side, my EAD card status just changed to the "document production"...

06/20/13 Checks cashed

06/24/13 Received hard copy NOAs and biometrics appointment

07/17/13 Biometrics appointment

07/23/13 Status updated to "Testing and interview"

08/16/13 EAD approved

08/30/13 AOS approved. Interview was canceled by USCIS. But I showed up and was approved! :)

does anyone know about the process of getting a social security card?

my husband's status changed to EAD production but we arent sure if he can go get the ss card yet? does he need the actual card in hand to apply?

does he need the ss card to start working?

At this point, he needs the card in hand and can't get a SS number without it. And yes, he needs a SS number to legally work. Technically all he needs is the number and not the card but most employers want to see the card for proof. It only took about a week after going to the SS office for the card to arrive so it wasn't much of a wait.

HI everyone. I just want to ask if you have received a notice letter that your AP and EAD was approved? or just the card itself? I didn't receive any notice letter that my AP was approved although the USCIS status say that they mail me a notice that my AP was approved
